LOS ANGELES, California – Green Globe announced re-certification of Andel’s Hotel Berlin in Berlin, Germany. Over the past few years, this deluxe hotel has continuously demonstrated social responsibility and commitment to minimize the impact on the environment.

“We are honored to earn the prestigious Green Globe re-certification and international recognition,” said Ralph Alsdorf, General Manager at Andel’s Hotel Berlin, “Since our initial certification in 2011, we have been striving to improve our environmental efforts. With our long-term sustainability management system in effect, we could reduce our energy and water consumption dramatically. The property’s zero-impact policy encourages guests to support a carbon-neutral stay and to minimize their environmental footprint. Cleaning of bed linen and bathrooms are provided on request, all cleaning products are biodegradable and eco-labeled. The commitment extends to the hotel restaurants and all menus offer local, seasonal dishes. Packaging is reduced to a minimum and local suppliers adhering to sustainable practices are given preference.
