Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific conference announces travel agent training program

HAMILTON, N.J. – Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific – conference and trade show focusing on the emerging Asia–Pacific cruise industry — today announced details for its second edition of Travel Agent Training.

Taking place during Cruise Shipping Asia-Pacific, September 17-18, 2012 at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore, the Travel Agent Training sessions are organized in partnership with the Asia Cruise Association. The program will include Beginner and Intermediate tracks designed to enhance the travel agent’s knowledge and productivity in this fast moving market. In addition, the sessions are scheduled to allow for time to visit the exhibition hall, so that travel agents may network with exhibiting tourism organizations and destinations which are focused on driving cruise traffic.

Travel Agent Training Program Details:

Beginner: 17 Sept, Monday

1415hrs Introduction to Cruises
Trainer: Ali Wong, Costa Crociere
Why choose cruising as a holiday option? What is life like on board a cruise ship? What is included in a cruise package? These and other FAQs are posed by the client new to cruising and the session will give you the answers you need to make the sale.

1500hrs Luxury Cruise Market

Learn about the luxury passenger profile, what this market segment looks for in a cruise itinerary and what they are willing to pay to get it. Meet the needs and expectations of the luxury cruise guest in selecting the right product and destinations, including differentiated shore excursions.

Asian cruisers today: what they are looking for, and what appeals to them. Find out about the current product offerings in the market, and learn the right formula to use to entice Asian cruisers with onboard product.
