In its 25th year, EIBTM has unveiled some new initiatives for its Hosted Buyer program affecting those traveling from the UK as a result of high demand for options that can provide 1, 2, or 3 days to suit a more flexible approach to an individual’s business plans.

Following on from post-show research that showed many Hosted Buyers from the UK wanted more flexible options, EIBTM has increased the number of departure airports around the country with early departures and the ability to return the same day. Buyers are also being offered the opportunity to choose from three different attendance options: fully hosted, semi-hosted, or appointment only.

June Clark, Reed Travel Exhibitions, said: “The Hosted Buyer program helps meet the business needs of our clients. Over 50% of Hosted Buyers who attended from the UK last year had spending budgets for international business of over $1,000,000, but many of them indicated in post-event research that they wanted more flexibility in their travel arrangements.

“Our team [is] accepting a higher number of professional planners from the UK this year and will be discussing the options so that we create a tailored program to suit the individual’s needs. Of course, all of those that apply will have to match the usual qualifying criteria.”

New flight routes are available from Scotland and the North of England, adding to those that include the usual charter flights between Gatwick and Barcelona.

As well as complimentary flights, accommodation, and transfers, participants will receive a personal diary of pre–scheduled appointments with exhibitors of their choice, invites to numerous networking functions, and dedicated education tailored to the needs of corporate, association, and agencies.

The Hosted Buyer program is open to those who influence or make budgetary decisions for international business travel, meetings, incentive travel, international conventions, product launches, or staff training. More information and registration is on www.eibtm.com/hbreg .

All details for how to qualify can be found by logging on to www.eibtm.com or by contacting one of the dedicated Hosted Buyer team members on [email protected] .

EIBTM 2012 takes place November27-29, Barcelona.
