CALGARY, Canada – WestJet today announced details of the million WestJet dollars giveaway, the airline’s first-ever reward program contest for Canadians.

CALGARY, Canada – WestJet today announced details of the million WestJet dollars giveaway, the airline’s first-ever reward program contest for Canadians. The contest, which begins today and continues to October 7, 2012, gives WestJet guests the opportunity to join the airline’s loyalty program, WestJet Rewards, and win their share of one million WestJet dollars.

By visiting westjetgiveaway.com, Canadians can enter to win one of five daily prizes of $5,000 WestJet dollars. Guest can also enter to win additional daily prizes of $1,000 WestJet dollars by playing an interactive “Search for the Suitcase” game.

At various airport departure gates in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, WestJet guests are invited to try their luck at a standing wind tunnel for a chance to win $25, $100 or $500 WestJet dollars. On board select domestic WestJet flights, flight attendants will randomly place a wallet filled with up to $500 WestJet dollars in one lucky guest’s seatback pocket. The guest to uncover the wallet wins the WestJet dollars inside.

It’s an opportunity to build awareness of WestJet Rewards and how WestJet dollars are earned and, in our own WestJet way, celebrate and reward our guests with savings on future travel.”

With WestJet Rewards, guests earn WestJet dollars for every WestJet flight flown or vacation package taken. WestJet dollars can be used on any date, to any of WestJet’s more than 80 destinations, with no blackout periods. They can even be used on seat sales. Members can redeem their WestJet dollars just like cash, using them as they earn them, starting with as little as $25 WestJet dollars or save them up towards their dream vacation package.
